Re: [ Mon 1st Apr ] v Harborough Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Well from a personal point of view, I've been looking forward to this one all season, the first ever RDFC or AFC game I have been able to walk to with Harborough being my local club. But from a footballing point of view, we do have a mammoth task on our hands to get anything out of this one as we kn...

Re: [ Sat 30th Mar ] v Loughborough Dynamo, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

Tom showing why he will always be a club legend, how long had been on the pitch when he won the penalty, a minute or so? What an impact from him! Yes, we could have and maybe should have picked up all the points today at the end, but I would have taken a point before the game and with Rugby losing a...

Re: [ Sat 30th Mar ] v Loughborough Dynamo, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

Totally agree, I wasn't at the Trophy game, but was at the league game and the scoreline really didn't tell the whole story, think we hit the woodwork two or three times and even played better when we went down to 10 men if I remember correctly. 3-0 flattered them. They've had a great season no doub...

Re: [ Tue 26th Mar ] v Cambridge City, KO 7:45pm NPLD1M HOME

Got to be honest, I was fearing the worst in the first 20 minutes, for a short period we were hanging on at 0-1 and could have easily conceded more at that stage which I think could have been the nail in coffin for our survival hopes. But then we got the goal back from Cairo who is in good goalscori...

Re: [ Sat 23rd Mar ] v Quorn AFC, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

a bit of a battering today from a far better team, and good luck to QFC in the playoffs, but if we learn from it then it won't have been a waste. there has to be a big response for Tuesday now. Problem is, you would have thought we'd have learnt from playing them just a couple of weeks ago, but cle...

Re: Sir Keir Starmer visits Hayden Road

Thought I'd just add to this thread to mention that the constituency's new MP included us in her maiden speech in parliament. All right, she named us as 'Rushden & Diamonds football' and there wasn't exactly many in the commons to hear it, but still good to hear her mention us in a national sett...

Re: [ Tue 5th Mar ] v Quorn FC, KO 7:45pm NPLD1M HOME

Ouch, tough one tonight, funny how in our best run of form of the season we get our worst defeat of the season, but against one of the best sides we've played this season certainly, we just couldn't cope with how quick they were out of the traps at the start and the intensity of their play and the c...

Re: [ Sat 2nd Mar ] v Coleshill Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Still can't quite believe Saturday, 4-0, unbelievable and some fantastic goals!! Not sure what I found more unbelievable though, the score, or how much we were in control throughout the game, if you didn't know the positions of either team before the game, you could think we were a team near the top...

Shame we had no game of course, but Gresley also called off and Rugby lost in a game that they really would have wanted to get something from, so 6 points adrift, but now with two games in hand, Project 18th is still very much on!

Re: Sir Keir Starmer visits Hayden Road

While I find the sort of electioneering on display here somewhat nauseating, I am certainly in the 'good for the club' camp here. Perhaps if we were talking about the BNP leader or someone with contentious views I could understand the negativity, but regardless of what you think of him and the Labou...
