Re: Potential win at Beaconsfield
I've not done the maths for it but I think this means we can't win until the second week of April at the very earliest, assuming everything goes our way. Looks like it'll be down to the wire - I'd take automatic promotion though we'd be gutted not to win the league after such a strong season. Just p...

Re: MATCH OFF [ Sat 17th Mar ] v Aylesbury FC, KO 3pm ESE HOME
Any chance of a dramatic five-goal comeback at Ashford? Given that both we and the Lankies have about twenty games altogether to play at Hayden Road in the last few weeks of the season, what is the plan if we keep getting cancellations? Will we have to play at a neutral venue? How many games can the...

Potential win at Beaconsfield
I've just been going through the maths and assuming both we and Beaconsfield get four wins between now and our away game (getting them on might be a challenge!) we'd be on the following points: DIAMONDS - 84 from 35, 7 to play BEACONSFIELD - 76 from 35, 7 to play Assuming we win, that then puts us 1...

I'm 80% that unless tomorrow we've got a full day of twenty-five degree sunshine, the game won't be on.

8 points clear, with 11 to go. 98 points is the maximum possible for any of the other teams in the division, so if everyone below us continues to win, eight wins and a draw will make Diamonds champions. If Cambridge and Beaconsfield drop points, it becomes even easier - I'm not going to call it yet,...

Re: [ Tue 6th Mar ] v Thame Utd, KO 7:45pm ESE HOME
About as good a return to play as you can ask for! The team now have the room to lose one along the way, but based on tonight I don't see many teams beating us - they were simply untouchable for large parts of the game tonight. A few more games like that and it'll be one hand on the pot...

Hopefully we'll get this ahead - apparently it's meant to rain in Northampton, let's hope it's only a little drizzle. No matter what happens it's not likely to be a great surface for playing football on tomorrow - any idea when any inspections will be?

Diamond back in - or does Robbins keep his place - or maybe time for Robbins and Diamond up top? Really tough one with the strikers, whoever is left out is going to feel hard done by. Personally i'd play Diamond and one other. I was looking at the stats so far this season and it's interesting to se...

That ranks with the playoff final at St.Ives in terms of how hard that was to take: if it hadn't been for that penalty - which I didn't see clearly, but I saw enough to know that it was a silly challenge from behind whether he got the ball or not - I think we probably would have been going to Sixfie...

Does anyone know if there is going to be a pitch inspection? I've got a mate coming for his first game, hopefully it's on and it's a good show from Diamonds.
