Re: [ Tue 10th Apr ] v Bedford Town, KO 7:45pm ESE HOME

Barring some cricket scores from Hartley Wintney 4 wins and one draw, provided we don't lose to Cambridge City, will ensure a top 2 finish. That also assumes that other contenders don't drop points. Beaconsfield have to play 3 games in a week twice so they could drop a few points due to that. The bi...

Top Six Teams

So far 23 matches have taken place between the current top 6 teams (and they look likely to be the top 6 at the end of the season). Of these only 2 draws have occurred - slightly surprising when you expect them to be fairly evenly matched. Hartley Wintney and Hayes appear to have the easiest run ins...

Match on.

Players need to be at it from the word go tonight.
If we can win tonight and get at least a draw on Saturday it will be a huge step towards securing automatic promotion.

Hope we can get a better crowd tonight compared to the Thame match.

Re: OFF [ Tue 13th Mar ] v AFC Dunstable, KO 7:45pm ESE HOME

bugger. hopefully it'll give it more time to recover for saturdays game. R & H have a game scheduled for tomorrow evening so if that goes ahead it won't do the pitch a lot of good. I think they have 6 home games remaining and we have 7, so 13 games to be played at Hayden Road in the next 6 week...

Re: [ Tue 6th Mar ] v Thame Utd, KO 7:45pm ESE HOME

Would it not have been a bloody good idea to clear the snow Saturday as then to prevent more waterlogging issues as suggested by the club to the groundsman?? Assuming an average depth of snow of approximately 10 cm. the volume of snow to be cleared would have been 1000 cubic metres (approx. 25 aver...

Re: Games this week

Can games be postponed because "its too cold"!!!! Yes, if the pitch is frozen, and with temperatures well below zero overnight and barely above zero during the daytime this week it is highly likely they will be off. There is also snow in the forecast, which could also impact on Saturday's...

Re: [ Sat 17th Feb ] v Chalfont St Peter, KO 3pm ESE HOME

It was the sort of performance we have not been accustomed to - in previous seasons we would probably have drawn, or even lost that game. We defended very well as a unit and kept Chalfont outside our penalty area. The few attempts they had in the second half were all from distance, and Heath had onl...

Given the rain we have had over the past 24 hours or so is there an inspection planned today?

Re: [ Sat 23rd Dec ] v Hanwell Town, KO 3pm ESE AWAY

Forecast temperatures for Wednesday onwards are double figures, with no frost at night, so we should be o.k. by Saturday.
