Steve Spriggs?
Correct. He was a cut above the rest today.

Re: MATCH OFF [ Sat 20th Jan ] v Uxbridge FC, KO 3pm ESE HOME

I headed for Biggleswade V Slough, only for that to be called off shortly before 2pm. Dashed over to Newmarket Town and saw them beat Walsham-le-Willows 5-0 in the Eastern Counties League Premier Division (Step 5). A former Diamond (new club) now plays for Newmarket and scored a hat-trick today. Wit...

Re: [ Tue 16th Jan ] v Aylesbury FC, KO 7:45pm ESE AWAY

I'm running out of superlatives to describe this team at the moment. We're in the midst of an incredible run of form and crucially, as I look across the team / squad I don't see any real weaknesses. The pitch could have leveled things up but the two teams couldn't have been further apart in terms of...

Re: [ Sat 13th Jan ] v Fleet Town, KO 3pm ESE AWAY

Another in a long line of superb performances. We passed the ball around excellently and completely dominated the game. The two wingers, as they are every game, were immense and Ben Diamond put in another high quality display. To be truthful I thought today's game would be much tougher than it was. ...

Re: [ Tue 9th Jan ] v Hitchin Town, KO 7:45pm BFB LCC HOME

I thought we were the better team last night despite making 5 changes from the weekend as opposed to Hitchin's 4. The depth of our squad at the moment is excellent. Diamond was our best performer I thought, busy all evening and linking up well with Robbins in the first half. Darryl Smith put in a go...

Re: [ Sat 6th Jan ] v Marlow FC, KO 3pm ESE HOME

The winning run was going to end at some point. Didn’t expect it to end today, but the pitch levelled things up and I thought our boys looked a bit lethargic at times which is understandable given we’ve been playing pretty much the same XI for weeks/months. Our biggest issue over the next couple of ...

A pitch inspection has been called for 11:30am. There's no rain forecast thankfully so fingers crossed it's precautionary.

Re: Richard Bunting...

Wasn't my favourite player towards the end, but I certainly appreciate what he has done for the club on the pitch over the past few years, particularly his first 2 years with us during which time he was immense. I didn't realise he was 36. As has been said above if there was a best XI of AFCR&D play...
