Season Tickets...

Been on holiday for a while. Disappointed to see no mention on here of what is an excellent Season Ticket offer by the club. Freezing the cost of a Season Ticket despite knowing we'll be in a new league next season is unprecedented and represents excellent value compared to recent seasons. I hope as...

Re: Shaw Lane AFC

Not entirely sure how this may affect things. I guess It’s possible that Hayes & Yeading could be promoted in to the Southern League Premier with Banbury moving in to our league and Coalville moving north.

What would we learn from playing say a Championship reserve or under 21 side?
More than we would playing Melton Town and Rushden & Higham.

Re: Pre-Season Fixtures...

Believe me, getting a professional side to agree to a pre-season friendly is much easier said than done! Unless you have contacts in the management team, like with JE at Northampton last year, you stand very little chance. Even getting an Academy or U21 side is a ball ache. Out of interest what mak...

Pre-Season Fixtures...

Now a complete set apparently. http://www.afcdiamonds.com/pre-season-fixtures-2018-19 A very uninteresting set of fixtures. Obviously I have no idea how these things work, but I'd have hoped we might have been able to tempt a professional outfit to come and play us. After all, we hosted Northampton ...

Re: Former Players

Jack Higgins joins Farsley Celtic from Warrington Town.

Jack was briefly given an opportunity back in the professional game with York City in 2016 and quit his teaching job as a result. He only lasted a few months at York before quickly drifting back down to Step 3.

Re: Its that time again

We’re in a great position, in that I’d be absolutely delighted to start the season with exactly the same squad that finished the previous one. But if we’re playing a game... Adam Marriot, Jack Bowen, Ben Stephens, Lewis Hillyard and Danny May Ben Stephens is a great shout and I believe he is friend...

Re: Its that time again

I think we need 4 players personally. - A natural winger able to provide genuine back-up/competition for Gyasi and Fairlamb. Lewis Hilliard maybe? - An experienced 'leader' in central midfield. A 30-something ex-pro or somebody that's been there and done it at this level. - A big horrible bastard in...

Re: Former Players

Melton Town in UCL Div One have appointed Tom Manship and Jon Stevenson as joint-Managers.

Sounds like they are going to be throwing money at it this season.

Re: Step 3 and Step 4.

I thought half the point of the additional Step 3 league was to better align promotion and relegation between Steps 2 and 3. So 4 teams relegated from both the National League North and South, with 2 each from the four Step 3 leagues going the other way. Or have I got that wrong and the FA have mad...
